This page is so I can fangirl over my obsessi—I mean, give recommendations! I like lots of different things, so there’ll be a variety of arts on here, from artists to music to comics. I won’t include books just because there are so many I love across so many different genres, but feel free to reach out and ask! I looove talking about my favorite books. This is all obviously one of those things where tastes differ from person to person, but I hope you can find something you enjoy!
Artists (of the drawing variety)
A Tokyo-based artist whose drawings often feature disgruntled-looking cats and/or beautifully whimsical fairy tale settings and characters. I love how her style is both cute and fantastical! She also occasionally makes works that are a bit darker that just somehow really resonate. You can find her on Twitter, Instagram, and her website!
I first found out about Miyuli from her bittersweet comic Hearts for Sale. It’s been amazing to see how her style has evolved over the years, from the soft warmth of Hearts for Sale to the whimsical Lost Nightmare to the more traditional-looking and diverse Demon Studies. You can find her on Twitter, Tumblr, and Instagram, and you can keep up with her ongoing comic Demon Studies here!
This artist’s style is so soft and calming. She draws a lot of cats in many forms (including drinks and food), whales, food, and nature. Just looking at her art is really soothing, and I find it especially nice to look at when I’m feeling stressed. You can find her on Twitter, Tumblr, or her website!

A super sweet and fun LGBT/contemporary comic about a boy who loves to bake, the hockey team he’s on, and the relationships he comes to form! I absolutely love the characters and their dynamics, and the story does an awesome job balancing humor with real life issues. If you haven’t read this one yet, I definitely recommend it!
Soul to Call by Katherine “Rommie” Lang
A horror/thriller post-apocalyptic comic about found family, survival, and dealing with the past while confronting the future. I love the art style and how amazing Lang is at constantly upping the tension. Also, Eli is the most precious bean and must be protected at all costs. Also also, two of the main characters are ace and the other two are bi AND I AM ALL HERE FOR THAT. If you like stories about a group of very unlikely people coming together in order to survive (and of course then coming to care about one another in the process), I recommend this one for you!
Heartstopper by Alice Oseman
A very, very cute LGBT contemporary romance about love, identity, and friends. Remember to pack your toothbrush, because you might get a few cavities reading the story of these two precious dorks slowly becoming closer and closer. The cast is great and the story has been so heartfelt and so much fun to read! I’d honestly recommend this to any lover of romance.
Aaand that’s all for now! I’m hoping to slowly add more to this page over time, but these are pretty much my core loves. If you want to talk about anything on here with me or have any other sections you’d be interesting in seeing (I was a hot second away from adding my manga recs), feel free to reach out!
